It is really free. You get a public page and keep it at no cost, once the badge is on your website. No card to claim, no account, no password. The Verified Record is a separate, optional upgrade, and the site never charges you without you pressing the button.
You are paying for the credential, not for a listing. For one payment of $39 you get the gold Verified badge, a certificate you can download as a print ready A4 PDF or a PNG, a QR code anyone can scan to check you, and a trust widget for your own website. It is a single payment. There is no subscription and no renewal fee.
It means you proved you control the business website on your profile, by placing the Entruv badge on that website, which our crawler then finds and checks. It does not mean we audited your business, and we say so on the site. That is the point: it is a claim that can be checked, not one you have to take our word for.
Your name, company, industry and website are public, plus your city if you gave one. Your email is never shown on any page. There are no passwords to steal, because there are no accounts. The secret in your private link is stored only as a one way scramble, so even our database does not contain it. Card details are handled by Dodo Payments and never touch our servers. One thing to know: anyone who holds your private link can manage your profile, so keep that email private.
A free record only goes public after our crawler finds the Entruv badge on the website you listed, and it is labelled as an unverified listing. Free records receive the silver Listed on Entruv badge. The gold badge and the certificate are reserved for the Verified Record. The Verified Record can only go to someone who can change the settings of the website on that profile. An impostor cannot do that to your site, so the verified one is the real one.
Straight answer: nobody can honestly promise you rankings, and we will not. What you do get is a permanent public page at a clean address with your name, company and structured data that search engines can read, plus a place on the industry and city lists once you are verified. It gives Google something real to find when someone types your name. What Google does with it is Google's call.
Your access is tied to your private link, so keep the email we send you. If you ever lose it, use the recovery page at /recover to receive a one time link by email. It works once and expires after an hour.
