Webflow integration

Add a Verified Trust Badge to Your Webflow Site

Webflow lets you place the Entruv badge in one spot and have it appear on every page. You can use the Footer code field in your site settings, or drop a Code Embed element into your footer on the canvas. Both need a paid plan, and both only go live after you publish. This guide shows each route, explains why the Designer looks empty, and lists the problems that make the domain check fail on Webflow sites.

RequirementYou need a Webflow site on a paid site plan or a paid workspace plan, because free Starter sites cannot use custom code.

  1. Step 1

Choose where the badge will live

The simplest route is Site settings, then the Custom code tab, then the Footer code field. Anything you add there is placed before the closing body tag on every page. If you want the badge to sit inside a styled footer, add a Code Embed element in your footer on the canvas instead. Pick one, not both, so the badge does not appear twice. Labels may differ a little in your version, so look for the closest match.

  2. Step 2

    Paste the badge and save

Paste this line into the Footer code field, or into the Code Embed editor: <a href="https://entruv.com/p/YOUR-SLUG" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><img src="https://entruv.com/api/badge/YOUR-SLUG.svg" alt="Listed on Entruv" height="44" style="height:44px;width:auto;max-width:100%" /></a> Do not retype it. Copy the ready made version from your Entruv owner panel, which already has your real slug. Save the settings. Code Embeds show as a placeholder in the Designer, so do not worry if you cannot see the image there. You will see it once you preview or publish.

  3. Step 3

    Publish, then verify your domain

Saving custom code does not change your live site. Press Publish in Webflow and publish to your own domain, not only the webflow.io address. Then open your Entruv private link and press Verify Domain & Publish. Success looks like a confirmation on the owner panel and a public record page that no longer returns 404. If it fails, read the message, fix the cause below and press the button again.

The one line you paste

<a href="https://entruv.com/p/YOUR-SLUG" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><img src="https://entruv.com/api/badge/YOUR-SLUG.svg" alt="Listed on Entruv" height="44" style="height:44px;width:auto;max-width:100%" /></a>

Copy the ready made version from your owner panel. It already has your real address in place of YOUR-SLUG.

If the check fails on Webflow

  • Forgetting to publish is the most common failure. Custom code only reaches visitors after the site is published, so the crawler sees the old page until you do.
  • On a free Starter site the custom code fields are not available, so the badge cannot be added there. Upgrade the site or workspace plan first.
  • Publishing only to the webflow.io staging address does not update your own domain. Publish to the domain you gave Entruv.
  • A Code Embed placed in a hidden element, a collapsed tab or a component set to display none is treated as a hidden link and rejected. Keep the badge visible.
  • If you add the badge to the Footer code field and also to a Code Embed, you will show it twice. It still passes, but remove one for a cleaner page.

Why a visible badge beats a hidden meta tag

Webflow makes it easy to add invisible tags to the head, so a hidden tag can feel natural. We do not use one. The check looks for a visible anchor with our badge image in the page body, because a link a visitor can see and click is a stronger sign that you control the page than a tag nobody reads.

You can confirm the result in the browser. Open your published page, right click and choose View page source, then search for entruv.com. The anchor should appear in the HTML Webflow sends. The Designer will not show it, and that is normal. If the anchor is missing from the source, the site was not published after the change.

Questions

Can I use the free Starter plan?

Not for this. Custom code and Code Embeds need a paid site plan or a paid workspace plan, so a free Starter site cannot hold the badge.

Why can I not see the badge in the Designer?

Code Embeds show as a placeholder in the Designer. Preview or publish the site and the badge will appear.

Is there a size limit on the code field?

Webflow sets character limits on the head and footer fields, so check its help page for the current figure. A one line badge is far below any limit reported.

Does the badge change if I pay later?

The same snippet turns into the gold badge by itself after the one time $39 payment. You do not need to edit Webflow again. The payment is final.
