Terms of Service

Entruv is a private, independent public directory of entrepreneurs. It is not a government register, a licensing body or a credit agency, and it does not replace any official registration your business may need.

Anyone can create a free record with a name, company, industry, website and email address. A new record starts as a draft that nobody else can see. It goes public only after our crawler finds the Entruv badge on the website you listed. A published free record is labelled as an unverified listing. It has no gold badge and no certificate. There are no accounts or passwords. You manage your record with the private link we give you.

The Verified Record is an optional upgrade for a single payment of $39 (plus any tax shown at checkout). It is not a subscription and does not renew.

To buy it you must first prove you control the website on your record by placing the Entruv badge on the website, which our crawler checks. When payment clears, your record is marked verified, and you get the gold Verified Entrepreneur badge, a downloadable certificate with a QR code, and the trust widget.

• The information you give is true and you have the right to publish it.
• You only claim a business you own or run, and you do not pretend to be another person or company.
• You do not use the service to deceive, harass or defraud anyone, or to break any law.
• You do not try to disrupt the service, scrape it at a harmful rate, or get around its limits.
• You keep your private link private. Anyone who holds it can manage your record, and you are responsible for what is done with it.

The free badge and the gold badge are provided so you can link to your record from your own website. Use them as supplied, do not alter them, and do not show the gold badge unless your record is verified. If a payment is reversed by your bank or the payment provider, the gold badge on your website reverts to the free badge and the certificate is withdrawn.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. Prices, taxes and receipts are shown at checkout. All sales are final and we do not give refunds. The free record and badge let you check everything before you pay. See our refund policy.

You keep ownership of what you give us. You give Entruv permission to publish it on your record, in the registry lists, in search engines and on your badge and certificate, for as long as your record exists. How we handle the information is explained in the privacy policy.

We may remove or hide a record, and withdraw verification, if it is false or misleading, impersonates someone, breaks these terms or the law, or if we are asked to by the person or company it names. You can ask us to remove your own record at any time.

We work to keep the service running but we do not promise it will always be available or error free. We may change or stop features. We will not remove the verified status you purchased except as set out in these terms.

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Entruv is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, or anything that results from someone relying on a record, and our total liability to you for anything connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited, including consumer rights.

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator of the registry is established, and its courts can decide disputes, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to use the courts where you live. Please contact us first and we will try to sort it out.

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top. Using the service after a change means you accept it.
